Shoveling roofs in a winter like this, particularly in Bondurant, is an unwanted necessity. During our snowiest winter in Steamboat Springs many years ago, I shoveled the roof 5 times. You always knew it was time--you went to bed, the doors would close; you woke up, and nothing would close. It was time.
