2025 Pedigree Stage Stop Race
Friday through following Saturday
Starts in Jackson, Wyoming ad runs in stages for a week. Stage Stops in Pinedale, Big Piney/Marbleton, Kemmerer, Lander, and final stop in Dubois. Each of the seven stops are hosted by local communities with special events. The loop races take place on trails on the Bridger-Teton National Forest. Spectators welcome. 31: Deadline for PAPO (Pinedale Anticline Project Office) project applications The PAPO strongly encourages the submittal of projects that relate to PAPO’s strategic plan goals and priorities. Projects funded in prior years benefit mule deer, pronghorn, and greater sage-grouse by increasing water sources, improving habitat and reducing barriers to migration. Most funded projects are located on the Pinedale Anticline, as onsite mitigation is an initial first step when a mitigation response is necessary. Projects can be related to land use, livestock, cultural resources, recreation, wildlife, aquatic, air, or other resources.
The PAPO Board of Directors will make project funding decisions at the Spring 2025 Board meeting in Pinedale. This meeting will be advertised in early 2025. For more information, contact Amber Robbins, PAPO Coordinator (interim), at: arobbins@blm.gov or by phone at (307) 367-5321.

1: Seasonal spring recreational closure begins near Fremont Lake for mule deer migration Spring migration closure of No Human Presence runs from April 1 through April 30th. It is in the area near the outlet of Fremont Lake where the deer cross to migrate north. The fall closure is November 1-30th each year. Signs will be posted at key entrances to the area to remind the public of the seasonal closure. 10: Flag Raising Ceremony for Traders Row, Green River Rendezvous Join the traders for the patriotic flag raising ceremony at 9AM. The kids from the Pinedale Aquatic Center Little Wranglers will help with the flag raising. Aftrerwards, children are invited to stay to learn primitive skills & crafts.
