Pinedale's new senior citizen center, Rendezvous Pointe, is celebrating their Grand Opening with events and activities all this week. Each morning begins with a free breakfast between 6-9 am for Health Fair blood draw participants through Friday. There is music, poetry, workshops, a horse shoe tournament, scrapbooking, panning for gold and gems, and lapidary displays. The events culminate Friday evening with a sit-down Dinner/Variety show at 6 PM (Tickets SOLD OUT.) The dinner is followed by a free dance by Valzez and Company, with George Ditton and Doc Johnston, starting at 8 pm. Everyone is welcome to all the events!
The Center is open Monday through Friday from 8 am to 4 pm. They offer services including transportation, meals (home delivery available), socialization, preventative care, a 'lending closet' for medical and assistive equipment, senior activities (Bingo, pool, art classes, crafts, exercise, monthly outings, movies, bowling, dancing, dining and more), blood pressure & hearing testing, toenail clipping, family caregiver support, community-based In-Home services, and much more. The Center can be reached by calling 307-367-2881 or e-mail: rpointe@wyoming.com.
The Center invites everyone in the community to stop by when they get a chance during the week to see the new facilities and enjoy the week-long entertainment! The new center is located behind Falers's General Store, one block north of US Hwy 191. (Parking is a bit challenging due to the road closure right behind Falers and work in progress pouring cement just outside the Center. Best access is to come by the middle school past Proactive Rehabilitation and park along the street just north of the Center along Faler Ave. Please do not use the Sublette Retirement Center parking lot as a shortcut.)
