Pinedale Ice Rink is Open!

The Pinedale Ice Rink is open for the 2004/2005 season!
Well, they do have a few things they are working on to finish up, so the real opening date for when everything will be ready is November 1st. Crews are still putting finishing touches on the pro shop and some of the other areas, but none of that really matters to the skaters who just want to get out on the ice again.
While things are still getting finished up, they are offering FREE admission and rental skates through October 31st. They have both figure and hockey skates (youth 8s and adult to size 13) as well as some helmets. After November 1st, there will be a $1.00 door fee for skaters (not visitors watching games). Skate rentals will be $1.00 and helmets $.50.
The rink personnel gave us a wish list for some things they'd still really like to have for this season. If anyone reading this would like to contribute to the cause, here are some items the folks at the rink are still hoping to get:
Fax machine
New computer
Money, about $20,000 would be really nice
Jeff really, Really, REALLY wants a new skate sharpener
The rink is still on a special schedule for the next two weeks. Below is the schedule until October 31st.
Friday, Oct. 22: Stick & Puck 4-6:30 pm, Public Skate 6:30-9:00 pm
Saturday, Oct. 23: Goalie Camp 9 am-2 pm, Public Skate 2-8 pm
Sunday, Oct. 24: Goalie Camp 1-5 pm, Hockey younger players 5-6:30 pm, Older hockey players 6:30-8 pm
Monday, Oct. 25: Public Skate 4-6:30 pm, Stick & Puck 6:30-9 pm
Tuesday, Oct. 26: Stick & Puck 4-6:30 pm, Public Skate 6:30-9 pm
Wednesday, Oct. 27: Public Skate 4-6:30 pm, Stick & Puck 6:30-9 pm
Thursday, Oct. 28: Public Skate 4-6:30 pm, Stick & Puck 6:30-9 pm
Friday, Oct. 29: Stick & Puck 4-6:30 pm, Public Skate 6:30-9 pm
