Pine & Tyler One Land closed on Pine Street Pine & Tyler

From the Sublette County Sheriff’s Office in Pinedale: At 8:15 AM, a citizen contacted the Sublette County Sheriff's Office, to report that a semi-truck tank truck was entering Pinedale leaking fluid. The Sheriff's office, Fire Dept. and Highway Patrol is presently stationed along almost the entire length of Pine Street, and the spill has been covered. A clean up crew is en route to Pinedale. It is expected that the cleanup will take approximately two hours once it starts.

11:00 AM Update: Traffic is still able to get through on both Pine Street/US 191 and Tyler Avenue. Our reporter’s observations from the site indicate that the vehicle was spilling an as yet unidentified substance for at least a block coming north on Tyler Avenue past the Sublette County Courthouse. The vehicle apparently turned west on Pine Street/US 191 in the northern lane and finally stopped on the east side of the Pine Creek bridge on the highway, spilling the substance the entire way. The biggest spills are at the locations where the vehicle stopped on Tyler Avenue, the northwest corner of Pine and Tyler and on the highway on the east side just before the Pine Creek bridge.

Officials have placed sand on all of the spills and orange cones block the affected traffic lanes. Traffic can still get by on all roads in the remaining lanes.
