Snowmobiling Report
January 16, 2005
The recent storms have created excellent snowmobiling conditions in the area. All areas are open with from 12-42” bases. Trails are being groomed. The best report we can pass along for conditions are the words of one gentleman we met at a local gas station here in Pinedale as we chatted while he was filling up his truck. He was pulling a trailer with four, snow-covered snowmachines, so we asked him where he went and how the sledding was. He had been riding the Continental Divide Trail down Boulder way, south of Pinedale, and said snow was 5-6 feet in the areas they went. In his words, "It was deep. It was UGLY. And, God, it was FUN!!!"
