Travelers are alerted to a road construction project that will begin in early April on Hwy 189 near Fontenelle Reservoir and continue through the summer. Nearly nine miles of the highway will be reconstructed and widened, according to the Wyoming Department of Transportation.. The section stretches from about two miles south of Herschler Road to about two miles south of Names Hill. Narrow to nonexistent shoulders on the highway will be widened to six feet. Work will begin in early April on the retaining wall next to Fontenelle Reservoir. Work on the highway itself is expected to begin in early May and be completed by Nov. 15.
