Academic Bowl Pinedale Middle School students attended the Southwest & Western Wyoming Middle School Academic Bowl in Lyman.

Fifteen 7th and 8th grade students participated in the Southwest and Western Wyoming Middle School Academic Bowl in Lyman on April 27. The students, selected to attend based on overall grade point average, included 7th graders Jake Brunette, Kristen Corwin, Tracey McCarty, Marliese Oberreit, Liz Shaffer, Jordanne Steege, Jayne Thompson, Bernadette Nelson and 8th graders Shanna Corwin, Marquessa Brown, Tarra Culbertson, Kelsi Dean, Morgan Holz, Kathryn Konicek, Wilson Rogers and Kelsea Vickrey. The team advisors were Lenore Enright and Peggy Bell.

Each team was made up of 8 members, with each member being from a different school. The teams played a jeopardy-like game and answered questions in History/Geography, Math, Science, English or General Knowledge within ten seconds. “The Pinedale students participated well and answered many questions,” said Lenore Enright. The purpose of the event is to celebrate academic achievement and provide students from different schools the opportunity to meet one another.
