Wyoming State History Day
Pinedale Students make good showing

Pinedale Middle and High School Students did well at Wyoming State History Day in Laramie April 25, 2005. Three students brought home awards.
Meredith Noble placed second in the senior high division for the historical paper she wrote, "A Critical Communication: Japanese American Military Intelligence Service in World War II." Meredith also received the Heart Mountain Wyoming Foundation Scholarship for the best project at the state competition on the Japanese American experience during the war.
Bernadette Nelson took second in the junior high division for her individual performance, "Ernie Pyle: The Man That Brought War Home". Meredith and Bernadette will now be representing Wyoming at the National History Day Competition in Washington, D.C. in June.
Emma Becker, from the Pinedale Middle School, was awarded the scholarship from the University of Wyoming College of Health and Science Award for the best project at the state level dealing with health and medical issues. Her project, "The Hidden America," was an individual documentary.
Pinedale History Day coaches are Mr. Mitch Irrgang and Ms. Ann Noble. The Pinedale History Day Program is funded by the Sublette County School District No. 1 BOCES.
