Well after drill rig is gone
The highly visible drill rig towers are on location for approximately two months. Once removed, the "Christmas Tree", small storage tank and a couple of small service buildings are typically all that are left of an operating well site. Disturbed soil is reclaimed and seeded with native grasses and plants favorable to wildlife.

BLM Tour of Stewart Point well area Sept 28
Six proposed wells will be visible to the south of Pinedale
by Dawn Ballou
September 23, 2005
The Pinedale Field Office of the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) will be holding a tour of the proposed wells in the Stewart Point area, just south of Pinedale, on Wednesday, September 28th.
Questar is proposing six new well pads for directional drilling which could begin next summer and go for the next five years.
Stewart Point is a prominent hill located approximately three miles south of Pinedale, accessed from Tyler Street. Photographers know the site as one of the few vantage points of Pinedale that show the town, Fremont Lake and Fremont Peak in the Wind River Mountains. The hill also has historical significance to early inhabitants of the Green River Valley
The tour will be of the proposed road access and well pads. The BLM welcomes public comment about site access, well pad location and number of drill rigs. The tour will leave the Pinedale Field Office at 9:30 am on Wednesday morning. Participants must provide their own transportation.
