Big Piney man killed in accident
September 20, 2005
A Big Piney man, Brian Huckabee, age 29, was killed Friday, September 16th, in a roll-over accident north of Big Piney.
According to the Wyoming Highway Patrol, Huckabee was northbound on US 189 when, for reasons unknown, his pickup swerved into the southbound lane. He then overcorrected his vehicle's steering. This caused the vehicle to go off the roadway on the right shoulder. The vehicle rolled at least three times during which Huckabee was partially ejected out the driver’s side window of the pickup. He died at the scene.
Huckabee was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident, which occurred approximately 5:30 pm about 15 miles north of Big Piney. The roadway at the time of the crash was dry and the weather was partly cloudy.
