Planned power outage for Oct 2
Overnight for Pinedale, Boulder, Cora and Daniel
September 27, 2005
Pacific Power customers in Pinedale, Boulder, Cora and Daniel will be without power overnight on Sunday, October 2, while crews implement a planned power outage required for system upgrade work at the utility’s Pinedale Substation.
The planned outage is scheduled to take place from Sunday, October 2 at 10:00 pm to Monday, October 3 at 3:00 am. The work is being done overnight to minimize the impact to affected residents and businesses. Postcards have been mailed to Pacific Power customers in the area to provide advance notice of the power outage.
Customers who require a constant supply of electricity, for critical care issues or other situations, are urged to make necessary plans for backup generation or other needs prior to the planned outage.
"We realize that any period of time without electricity can cause inconvenience for people, even if the power outage is planned ahead of time and takes place during the night," said Craig Nelson, Pacific Power’s regional community manager. "We appreciate our customers’ understanding and patience while crews work to upgrade our system. This work is needed to help ensure our ability to continue to provide safe and reliable power to area homes and businesses."
