Boulder Basin Trail to Upper Boulder Basin on a cold and wet day in mid-October.

Dave Bell took a hike to Boulder Basin on Sunday, October 9th. It is located in the Upper Green, accessed by a very bumpy, rutted and rocky road not far from The Place. The road takes you as far as the lower Boulder Basin, which is adjacent to the wilderness area. "From the car to the upper end of Upper Boulder Basin, which is essentially two separate large mountain 'parks', separated by forest and about 400 vertical feet of elevation, is about 3 miles or so. It was chilly, and very wet. Lots of mud, wet snow and wind. I thoroughly enjoyed the hike," said Dave.
