Christmas Tree permits available Nov 10

Christmas tree permits will be available on the Bridger-Teton National Forest (BTNF) beginning November 10th. A permit is required to cut Christmas trees on the Forest. Cost is $15-$25, depending on the size of the tree cut.
Personal use permits for trees less than twelve feet tall are five dollars, permits for trees 12-25 feet are $15.00 and permits for trees over 25 feet are $25.00. Only one permit is allowed per person, but individuals may purchase up to four additional permits for friends and family members, provided they have the name of each additional person at the time of purchase.
Permits may be purchased at the Kemmerer, Big Piney, Pinedale, Greys River (Afton), Jackson and Buffalo Ranger Stations, as well as the Forest Supervisor’s Office, in Jackson, Wyoming. Permits are also available at the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Kemmerer and Pinedale Field Offices. Forest and BLM offices are open 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday - Friday. The Bridger-Teton will also be selling Christmas tree permits at the Interagency Visitor Center in Jackson seven days a week, between the hours of 9:00 am and 5:00 pm. The permits will be available at the Confluence Information Center in Alpine as well.
Permit must be in your possession at the time of cutting the tree. Travel maps are available at the District Ranger Stations showing areas where travel restrictions may apply.
