Head-on car accident claims Alvin Davison
Pinedale resident Patricia Gajewski injured

A head-on collision near Daniel on Monday, December 19th, has claimed the life of Alvin "Bud" Davison of Pinedale. Davison, 72, died Thursday at the University Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah, as a result of injuries he received in the crash.
The driver of the other vehicle, Patricia Gajewski of Pinedale, was also injured and Life Flighted to University hospital. She was listed as "critical but stable". Gajewski and Davison were the only occupants of the two vehicles involved in the accident.
According to the Wyoming Highway Patrol, Davison was southbound on US 191 about six miles west of Pinedale and Gajewski was northbound around 5 pm on Monday, when Davison fell asleep. His vehicle crossed the center line, colliding head-on with the Gajewski vehicle. After impact, the Gajewski vehicle was pushed backwards about 34 feet and came to rest off of the roadway in the east barrow ditch. The Davison vehicle came to rest off the west side of the roadway after going down an embankment. The airbags in both vehicles did deploy upon impact.
Both drivers were transported via ground ambulance to the Pinedale Clinic in Pinedale. From there both were transported to University Hospital in Salt Lake City via LifeFlight. The roadways at the time of the crash were dry and the weather was favorable. Gajewski was wearing a seat belt, Davison was not.
Funeral services for Davison will be held on Thursday, December 29th, at 1:00 pm at the Pinedale High School Auditorium.
