The McKenzie Hartwig Meningitis Foundation Volleyball Tournament will be held on Saturday, April 1, at the Pinedale Middle School Gym, starting at 9 am. The tournament raises funds to help with the costs of the meningitis vaccinations which are given to high school students in Wyoming through the McKenzie Hartwig Meningitis Foundation. The foundation was created on behalf of McKenzie Hartwig, daughter of Ken and Laurie Hartwig of Pinedale, who died of meningitis in 2001.

The tournament is a fun event and organizers hope to have as many females as possible attend. There will be prizes given to the winning teams. Last year they had nine female teams, including McKenzie’s old teammates from University of South Dakota.
