Man killed in crash near Big Piney

Jorge G. Treto, 20, of Rock Springs, was killed Friday morning in a single-vehicle accident on WYO 351 about 15 miles northeast of Big Piney.
According to the Wyoming Highway Patrol, Treto was driving a Mazda pickup westbound around 7 am when, for unknown reasons, his vehicle drifted across the center line and went off the roadway on the south side of WYO 351 at milepost 5.9. The roadway was dry and weather conditions were clear. The driver then overcorrected his steering to the right causing the vehicle to come back onto the roadway. He then overcorrected his steering once again to the left. This maneuver caused the vehicle to roll 2 ½ times coming to rest in the roadway on the south side. Treto, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected from the vehicle during the rollover. He was alone in the vehicle and the airbags did deploy.
