Fire closes Union Pass

Fremont County Emergency Management officials sent out a notice at 7 pm on Tuesday evening, June 6, that a wildfire has caused the emergency evacuation of all residents of the Union Pass subdivision on the eastern side of the Wind River Mountains, near Dubois.
"All residents of Union Pass have been evacuated. No access to Union Pass will be allowed until further notice," stated the report.
Fire management officials are continuing to conduct fire fighting efforts.
No further details were available regarding this fire at the time of this report. We’ll post more information as it becomes available.
Another fire on Tuesday, located in Boulder Lake Campground (25 miles from Pinedale), was controlled by firefighters by late Tuesday evening. Boulder Lake Lodge and the summer homes were nearby, but the fire did not reach them. The cause of that fire is considered suspicious and is under investigation.
