The Pinedale Ranger District reported that Green River Lakes Campground will remain closed due to logging activities until July 1, 2006. The campground area is being treated to remove hazard trees that have been killed from beetle infestation. Until the dangerous trees are removed, the campground will remain closed and gated.

The other areas of the Green River Lakes Campground are OPEN, including the trailhead and parking area, corrals, boat launch and boat launch parking area. Overnight parking is available at the trailhead parking lot. Boat launch parking area is day-use only, with no overnight camping or parking.

The District personnel said that the Highline Trail is now open to approximately nine miles in.
