June Wildflowers
June 24, 2006
The end of June is always a great time to see a wide variety of wildflowers in bloom. Bluebells, columbine, Indian Paintbrush, geraniums, balsamroot, firerocket and more add to the medly of colors in the high country. While flowers at lower elevations have peaked already, the higher you go, you can still find areas that are just getting ready to be in full bloom glory. It's a great time to get outdoors and do some hiking! (oh, yes, the mosquitoes are also out, so be prepared for those too!)
