Pinedale, Wyoming got a name mention in the July, 2006 edition of Inc. magazine, and appeared in a feature story on the Inc.com website today, Wednesday, June 28.
The online version highlighted the story, “5 Unexpected Beneficiaries of Rising Oil Prices”, written by Inc. staff. Pinedale was listed as third in the list of five. “Flush with $25 million in energy industry tax revenue, the school district is building an aquatic center and upping the school-lunch subsidy.”
The story also highlighted the Bolivian government receiving $780 million in energy revenue; New Mexico spending $100 million of their energy tax earnings to build a spaceport; the Colorado School of Mines receiving a $10 million dollar donation from a benefactor in the oil and gas industry; and the renovation of a 132-foot totem pole in Kake, Alaska carved in 1967 for the centennial of the Alaskan Purchase.
