Sublette County Candidates
County Commissioners and Rural Health Care Board
June 5, 2006
Friday, June 2nd, was the closing date for candidates to file for the two open vacancies for Sublette County Commissioners and for three positions on the Rural Health Care Board.
RURAL HEALTH CARE BOARD Eight people filed to run on the Rural Health Care Board. This Board is the local government agency in charge of operating the two medical clinics in Sublette County, one in Pinedale and the other for Big Piney and Marbleton. The Rural Health Care Board election is a non-partisan election, so party affiliation is not a factor in this race. The top three vote getters will be elected in the August 22nd election. These positions are currently being held by Bill Barney, Mary Lynn Worl and Jerry Jensen.
Candidates for Rural Health Care Board are:
Bill Barney (Big Piney), Mary Lynn Worl (Pinedale) and Jerry Jensen (Boulder) have all filed seeking re-election. Additional candidates are: Bill Budd (Big Piney) Jim Carbley (Big Piney) Jud Faler (Pinedale) Dave Rachich (Pinedale) Jennifer Rees (Big Piney)
SUBLETTE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS The County Commissioners Race has two open seats, that of Bill Cramer and Betty Fear. Nine people filed for this race, 7 Republican candidates and two Democrats. One person has said they will run on the Independent platform. Voters will cast their ballots for two candidates in the primary election in August.
Republican candidates Bill Cramer (Bondurant) and Betty Fear (Big Piney) have filed seeking re-election. Other Republican candidates are: Joel Bousman (Boulder) Suzy Michnevich (Boulder) Stan Zierlein (Pinedale) Timothy Lingle (Pinedale) Ronald Gordon (Big Piney)
The two Democrats are: Bob McCarty (Pinedale) Courtney Skinner (Daniel)
Independent: Judi Adler has said she will also run.
In addition to the Rural Health Care Board and County Commissioners races, several other county positions will be up for re-election on the November ballot including Sublette County Clerk, Clerk of District Court, Assessor, Treasurer, Coroner, County Attorney and Sheriff. All the incumbents have filed seeking re-election and are running unopposed.
