Fire Weather Watch in effect for Sublette County

Thursday, July 13 Update: The Fire Weather Watch has been cancelled by the NWS.
The National Weather Service in Riverton has issued a Fire Weather Watch for southern Sublette, Lincoln, Sweetwater, Fremont and Natrona Counties for Thursday through Thursday evening.
The Fire Weather Watch is for southern and central Wyoming below 7,500 feet. Expect very low relative humidity and strong gusty winds. A Fire Weather Watch means that critical fire weather conditions are forecast to occur.
A Pacific trough will move across northern Wyoming Wednesday into Wednesday night bringing scattered mountain and valley thunderstorms. The main threat of the storms is locally heavy rain, small hail, gusty winds up to 45 mph and dangerous cloud-to-ground lightning.
The weather is expected to be hot and dry from Thursday through the weekend. Highs will be in the upper 90s and into the 100s in eastern Wyoming.
