Pinedale goes Back to School Sept. 5

School resumes for Pinedale students on Tuesday, September 5th. School supply lists and general information are posted in this week’s Pinedale Roundup newspaper. See the link at the end of this article for a printable PDF of the back to school information and school supplies.
Pinedale High School, 307-367-2137
All students report to their first period class at 8:15 am on the first day of school. Any student who has not pre-registered or re-registered can do so at the high school office beginning Tuesday, August 15. There will be a freshman orientation day for incoming 9th graders and their parents on Thursday, August 31, at 1:30 pm. Meet at the high school library for get-together meeting and then a tour of the building. Note that football, volleyball and girls swimming practices begin on August 14th.
Pinedale Middle School, 307-367-2821
Students’ class schedules will be mailed out prior to start of school. Copies will also be available at the Middle School office.
Pinedale Elementary School, 307-367-2828
All new elementary students, grades 1-5 and Kindergarten, should register at the elementary school office by Thursday, August 31. Children must be at least 5 years of age by September 15 to be admitted to kindergarten and 6 years of age on or before September 15 for 1st grade. Please bring birth certificates and health immunization records. A physical examination is also required for kindergarten students. Forms may be picked up at the school office.
Bondurant Elementary School
Bondurant School classes begin Tuesday, September 5th at 7:30 am and dismiss at 2:15 pm. Students will need the same school supplies as for the Pinedale Elementary School.
School Sports
Practices begin before the first day of school. See the schedule for practice start day. Students must have a physical examination before they can participate in any sport. Forms for sports are available at the school offices.
School Supplies
The school district is picking up the tab for most of the general school supplies again this year. Students will still need to have a pair of non-marking gym shoes to leave at the school. Older students will need gym shorts and t-shirt. Depending on the grade, students may need a back pack, pencils & pens, and three ring binders. Students taking Ag Ed and Art will also need some extra personal clothing and their own art supplies.
Immunizations
Students entering school must provide a record of immunization.
Buses
Buses will run at the regular times on Tuesday, September 5th.

August 14: HS Football begins, 7:30 am and 6:00 pm in the high school gym
August 14: HS Volleyball begins, 7:00-9:30 am, and 5-7 pm in the Wrangler Gym
August 14: HS Girls Swimming begins 5:00-8:30 pm at the pool.
August 18: MS equipment/locker checkout, 8th grade at 1 pm, 7th grade at 2 pm, 6th grade at 3 pm.
August 21: MS Volleyball practice, 5-7 pm, Middle School Gym
August 21: MS Football practice begins, 8 am
August 28: First Day for Teachers
August 31: MS 6th Grade Orientation, in 6th Grade classroom #104
August 31: High School Freshmen orientation, high school library 1:30 pm. Get-acquainted meeting and tour of the building.
September 5: First Day for Students for Pinedale students, 8:15 am
September 5: First Day for School for Bondurant students, 7:30 am to 2:15 pm.
October 16: Hunting Day, no school
November 10: No school
November 22-24: Thanksgiving Holiday
December 22-January 1: Winter Break, no school
January 15: Teacher Invoice, no school
February 19: President’s Day, no school
March 23-April 1: Spring Break
May 25: High School Graduation, 7 pm, Wrangler Gym
May 28: Memorial Day, no school
June 5: Last day of school for students
June 6: Last day of school for teachers
June 20: Last day for Principal/Secretaries
