New hunting laws for Wyomingites
by Wyoming Game & Fish Department
August 8, 2006
New laws addressing license privileges for resident military personnel and Wyomingites going out of state for volunteer work commence this summer.
The 2006 Wyoming Legislature passed a bill allowing resident military personnel home on leave from a combat zone, to receive general deer and elk licenses, as well as small game, game bird and daily fishing licenses for free. Another bill allows Wyomingites volunteering out of state full-time for charitable, humanitarian or religious purposes to retain residency privileges to purchase hunting and fishing licenses. Both laws took effect August 1.
