Union Pass Road Closure Lifted
Campfire Restrictions in effect

Purdy Fire Closure partially lifted: Thursday, August 31, 2006
Forest Service fire managers announced the lifting of a portion of the closure area for the Purdy fire, opening the Union Pass Road #600. Buffalo and Park Creek roads # 627 have also reopened, along with Lake of the Woods. Leeds, Raspberry, Strawberry, Bull Moose and all attached roads remain closed.
Campfire restrictions remain in effect, with no open fires allowed except in designated areas. Fire danger remains VERY HIGH on the Bridger-Teton National Forest.
On the Big Piney Ranger District, Middle Piney and Sacajawea campgrounds are open and campfires are allowed. Sacajawea campground will be closing September 5th.
