Last week the Rawlins Bureau of Land Management (BLM) office lifted the partial fire restrictions for lands within Carbon and Sweetwater Counties. Carbon County also lifted partial fire restrictions on private lands.

According to acting Fire Management Officer Aaron Mier, "Fire season is not over. Conditions are improving, so that is why we’ve lifted the restrictions in Carbon, and Sweetwater Counties."

Fire restrictions remain in place for Sublette, Albany, Laramie and Fremont Counties.
