(Pinedale) - Over the next several weeks the Pinedale Ranger District of the Bridger-Teton National Forest plan to burn slash piles created from the Green River Lakes Timber Sale located at the entrance of the Green River Lakes Campground.

Smoke will be visible from pile burning operations in the Green River Lakes Campground area. Fire management personnel require moisture on the ground before igniting piles to provide greater security from fire creeping away from ignited piles and to minimize heat produced by piles and effects to trees remaining in fuels treatment areas.
