Living ‘Off the Paved Road’
Story by James Rogers
October 4, 2006
One of the things we prize here is living "off the paved road." Whether it is a gravel road that leads to your house or a rough two-track off in the deep woods, we like being in a place that leaves pavement and the concrete jungle far behind.
James Rogers writes a column for Pinedale Online called, "Off the Paved Road". It's about what is in Pinedale and what makes life here so great. 'Off the Paved Road' is his take on the life here and how we can keep recent changes from having a negative effect on why we live here.
James is a rancher, cow dog trainer, bull breeder, hunting guide, cowboy, real estate agent, husband and father. He has lived and worked in Sublette County most of his life, ranching, and living the life of a Wyoming Cowboy. He is an owner of Pinedale Properties, Inc., a real estate agency in Pinedale. In this column, James shares his insights into Sublette County, ranching in the Green River Valley, the ebbs and flows of real estate here in the real west, and our lifestyle "off the paved road".
