PMS musicians at District Honor Band & Choir

On Saturday, October 21, fifteen Pinedale Middle School musicians traveled to Kemmerer to perform in the Wyoming Southwest District Middle School Honor Band and Honor Choir. They were selected from nine school music programs in the area by the recommendations of their school band directors and choir directors. After practicing all day, they performed a concert for the public in the Kemmerer School Auditorium.
The director of the 69-member honor band was Jennifer Levanduski. Mrs. Levanduski has taught all levels of band in Texas and is currently teaching middle school and high school bands in Jackson, Wyoming. Diane Hultgren was the director of the 76-voice honor choir. Mrs. Hultgren recently retired from elementary teaching and has been the Artistic Director of the Cheyenne All-City Children’s Chorus for the past 12 years.
Middle schools participating were Evanston Davis, Evanston Middle, Lyman, Mt. View, Kemmerer, Cokeville, Afton, Big Piney and Pinedale.
Students in the honor choir from Pinedale were: Kristy Brandewie, Sierra Cunningham, Jennifer Pape, Andreanna Strasser and Ryan Rohlfs. The Pinedale students in the honor band were Maggie Knapp, Elisa Lowham, Ashlee Anderson, Kodee Williams, Nicole Parker, Andi Noble, Maggie Hudlow, Niko Kolis, Jo’Lee Springman and Gus Holz.
These students are under the direction of Gena Anderson – choir and R. Craig Sheppard – Band.
