Four Punchers were selected to the all-conference and all-state first teams. An additional four were honored with honorable mention status. Seniors Trevor Wilson and Seth Linn are repeat selections to the 3A All-State team. For Linn it was his 3rd such selection. Joining these two were seniors Parker Greenwood and Brady Parks. Parks and Wilson anchored the line while Linn and Greenwood were backs for the 3A Champions. Receiving honorable mention were Brett Moffat, Zak Redden, Greg Eiden and Taylor Moceika.
The 4-4 record of the regular season hurt our chances of getting more named to the all-state team. Both Moffat and Redden played well enough in the championship series to earn all-state honors but the 4th place conference finish diminished the opportunity of getting the all-state honors they probably deserved. Juniors Moceika and Eiden played well on both the offensive and defensive lines. Moceika was a surprise as he continued to improve as the year progressed and became invaluable as the Puncher center.
It was good to see the entire interior line was honored as they proved worthy on both the offense and defense sides of the ball.
The coaches felt that there were more that deserved honors especially Mike Forrester and Chris Manning, both of whom had excellent seasons as first year starters.
Linn has also received additional honors as he was named as the 3A Player of the Year by the coaches across the state. In addition, he was selected to the Super 25 by the Casper Star-Tribune.
It was a great year for the Punchers for a great group of student/athletes.
