Statement from the Office of U.S. Senator Craig Thomas:
U.S. Senator Craig Thomas has come down with pneumonia. He became lightheaded while attending a church service at First United Methodist Church this morning (Sunday, November 5, 2006) in Casper and was taken to Wyoming Medical Center where doctors said the senator has pneumonia.
Thomas was released later in the day. Following medical advice, the senator will undergo medical testing this week at Bethesda Medical Center. Thomas had initiated tests there last month because of a drop in his usual high energy levels. Thomas, who is an avid daily runner, said he hopes to be back in his running shoes very soon.
