Wyoming Wildlife Photo Contest deadline Nov. 27
by Wyoming Game & Fish
November 19, 2006
If you’d like the chance to have your photography published in Wyoming Wildlife magazine and perhaps even win some prize money, get your best slides and/or prints to Cheyenne by 5 pm, Monday, November 27.
The magazine’s annual photo contest accepts images taken in Wyoming by all photographers. First through third place and honorable mention are awarded in wildlife, scenic/pictorial, recreational and flora categories. Photographers have a 20-entry limit.
The grand prize or best photo of the entire show garners $300. First place in each category receives $150, second $100 and third $50. Winning entries will be featured in the February 2007 issue. Noteworthy entries that do not place will grace the annual April essay issue.
The preferred, and smallest slide format, is 35 millimeter. Prints must be 8-by-10 inches. Digital formats are accepted, but editing must be limited to traditional printing techniques such as altering saturation and contrast, burning, dodging and eliminating dust spots. Images in which content is added, eliminated or rearranged will not be accepted.
Entry forms are available in the September, October and November issues of Wyoming Wildlife. The magazine is available at newsstands or by subscribing at (800) 710-8345 for $12.95 a year. Forms are also on the Game and Fish web site at http://gf.state.wy.us by clicking on “Publications and Art.”
Send entries with a return postage mailer to: Wyoming Wildlife Photo Contest, 5400 Bishop Blvd., Cheyenne, WY 82006.
