Sand Draw Rescue Center groundbreaking
New facility to provide emergency fire and medical services
December 14, 2006
Wyoming Governor Dave Freudenthal will be in Sublette County on Wednesday, December 20, to attend the groundbreaking ceremony for the new Sand Draw Rescue Center.
The new Center will be located 22 miles south of Pinedale and 25 miles east of Big Piney, reducing emergency medical response by at least 20 minutes to the southeastern corner of the County, including Jonah Field, sections of the Pinedale Anticline and rural residents.
The new Rescue Center will also be vital in providing a centralized facility that will help reduce impacts to the communities and improve local operations.
Officials attending the ceremony include the Sublette County Commissioners, Sublette County Emergency Medical Services and the Sublette County Sheriff’s Department. Representatives from EnCana Oil and Gas USA, Ulta Petroleum, Shell Rocky Mountain and BP gas production companies will also be on hand, along with other Sublette County community members.
The ceremony will be near the Sand Draw Industrial Park on US. Highway 191, by mile marker 77, from 3:00 to 4:00 pm.
