Torchlight Parade
New Year's Eve celebration at White Pine Ski Area
January 1, 2007

White Pine Ski Area held their annual Torchlight Parade on Sunday, December 31st. Approximately 100 people took part in the annual New Year’s Eve celebration skiing in the new year.

Skiers held lit torches and formed a snake-like line from the top of the mountain skiing down the slopes of the Bonneville run down to the base. The torches forming a line of lights gliding down the mountain in the blackness of the night.

Afterwards, participants feasted on chili and cornbread at the lodge, and socialized with friends.

Local photographers Dave Bell and Fred Pflughoft were both at White Pine and got great pictures of the parade of lights coming down the mountain.
