by Wyoming Game & Fish
February 9, 2007
Resident hunters are alerted applications for moose, bighorn sheep and mountain goat must be received at the Wyoming Game and Fish Department's Cheyenne Office or submitted online by 5 p.m. February 28.
Residents only wanting to purchase a preference point and not apply for a license in 2007 must wait and complete the preference point only application from July 1 to September 30.
"This is a great time for our resident hunters to consider using the new Online Hunting Application Service to apply for moose, sheep and goat licenses," says Jean Cole, manager of the Wyoming Game and Fish Department's License Section. "The system allows hunters to apply online and pay fees using a credit card, among other benefits."
To date, more than 14,000 resident and nonresident hunters have completed applications through the system, which began the first of the year. The online system is available at the Game and Fish's web site at http://gf.state.wy.us.
Residents can also get a paper application booklet at Game and Fish regional offices, license selling agents or by calling (307) 777-4600.
