Performs Hansel and Gretel

Wednesday evening Theatre Sans Fil (Theatre Without Strings) performed Hansel and Gretel, a musical drama with giant puppets based on a Grimm Brothers’ fairy tale. The company is French and are based in Montreal Canada. They brought the theater alive with puppets, music, lighting, and props.

Gretel Theatre Sans Fils performed Hansel and Gretel. Gretel is seen here picking strawberries.	Parents Hansel and Gretel’s parents, Peter and Gertrude sing in scene one.	Blue Banner Dance With the help of special neon lighting these huge banners came to life and filled the stage from top to bottom almost appearing to dance in the wind.
Giant Gingerbread House The giant gingerbread house was beautifully decorated with candy and treats.	Puppeteers If you look closely you can see the puppeteers in the background operating the Hansel and Gretel puppets.	Rosina Dainty Mouth Jean-Francois Leger introduces the cast. Rosina Dainty Mouth, the witch, is one of the only puppets that were operated completely inside a costume.
Gretel Puppet After the show the company shows the inside of some of the puppets. This puppet, Gretel, was one of the smallest puppets used in the performance. She was made out of cloth and fiberglass.	PFAC honors Jo Crandall Before the show Jo Crandall, one of the founding PFAC members, was honored for all her hard work over the years. The Pinedale Fine Arts Council celebrates 30 years this season.
