Modern Dance Concert Thursday, March 22
Dance Across Wyoming makes its stop in Pinedale
March 17, 2007
On Thursday, March 22, the University of Wyoming Theatre and Dance Department will perform “ … the body through which the dream flows …” at the Pinedale High School Auditorium, 7:30 p.m., FREE to the public.
The theme of the dance production is a look at the embodiment of creativity in women through time. The women profiled will be general and specific – they are visual artists, writers, dancers, musicians and scientists; they are mothers, daughters and wives.
The evening’s work will present narrative sketches of the women and the elements which contain them, but the focus of the concert will be the choreographic interpretation of the vision of the individuals profiles.
Don’t miss the chance to see this one (and it’s FREE).
Dance Across Wyoming, an American Masterpieces project, is supported in part by grants from the Wyoming Arts Council with funding from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Wyoming State Legislature and the Western States Arts Federation. It is presented locally by the Fine Arts Council.
