Sublette Democrats elect officers

The Sublette County Democratic Central Committee met on Saturday, March 17th, at the Sublette County Library in Pinedale to conduct regular business.

The following registered Democrats were in attendance: Cork Kelly, Betty Auld, Dave Racich, Julie Land, Sharon Stevens, Kathy Anderson, Sally Mackey, Susan Kramer,
Roz Leslie, Ana Cuprill, Elaine Barlow, Dale Aronson, and guest Chuck Herz, Chair of the Teton County Democratic Central Committee.
The meeting was called to order by the Chair, Dave Racich, at 10:06 AM.
Dave introduced Chuck Herz who brought greetings from Gary Trauner who ran unsuccessfully against Barbara Cubin last year in a very close race.
The minutes of the March 11, 2006, meeting were read and approved.
The treasurer's report was read and approved. Our balance was $269.08 with current advertising bills outstanding.
All current official positions on the central committee were re-elected unanimously.
Old Business: The motion was approved to give the Chair authority to appoint precinct committeemen and precinct committeewomen with their concurrence.
Chuck Herz spoke to the group concerning the growth of the Democratic Party in Teton County. He stated that a major goal was to elect Democrats to the State Legislature. He hoped to see more Sublette County Democrats in attendance at State meetings. He suggested holding a local event to encourage party participation and local strength.
New Business: Susan Kramer and Julie Land have volunteered to serve as co-chairs to organize a summer gathering of Democrats for the purpose of getting to know one another and to raise funds for our local treasury.
The meeting was adjourned at 11:30 AM.
