Sublette Republicans elect new officers
by Bob Rule, KPIN Radio Pinedale
March 19, 2007

The Sublette County Republican Party met Monday night, March 19, in the County Commissioners’ chambers of the Sublette County Courthouse, for their election of officers. Prior to voting, the group heard remarks by state legislators Monte Olsen, Stan Cooper, and Kathy Davison.

One thing that both Senator Stan Cooper and also Representative Kathy Davison told the group was, even though Pinedale, Boulder, Cora, Daniel, and Bondurant are outside their district, they still consider people in these towns to be "their people" and they are eager to receive e-mails from them. They also suggested that those sending e-mail, both during the Legislative sessions and also after the sessions, to make careful use of the subject line. If they see "Daniel, Wyoming" in the subject line, they will open it immediately. But, they are flooded with e-mail from special interest groups in New York City, and they generally don't even bother to open these e-mails, since they get so many of them.

The newly elected officers include:

County Chairman:
Cat Urbigkit of Big Piney

County Vice Chairman:
Jim Latta of Pinedale

State Committeeman:
Dave Lankford of Pinedale

State Committeewoman:
Mary Lankford of Pinedale

These officers will serve a term of two years. Cat Urbigkit, Dave Lankford, and Mary Lankford will also serve on the State Republican Central Committee.
