Traffic To Be Disrupted on I-80 March 12
Exit 72, Westaco Road interchange
by Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT)
March 10, 2007
(Rock Springs) - Traffic at Exit 72, the Westvaco Road interchange, will be disrupted on Monday, March 12 during daylight hours while base repairs are made on the westbound lanes of Interstate 80.
Westbound traffic on the interstate will be rerouted around the bridge, utilizing the on and off-ramps at Exit 72. The speed limit on the ramps will be 40 M.P.H. and this traffic will have the right of way to all other traffic.
It is suggested that traffic for the mines use Exit 68, Little America, to avoid this area of congestion. There will be appropriate traffic control operations in place with flaggers stopping traffic on the Westvaco Road. The repair work is expected to last one day only. The Wyoming Department of Transportation apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause and asks for the public's patience while the repairs are made to the bridge ends.
