Sublette County Rural Health Care District is very pleased to welcome Dr. Jim Quirk as a new, full-time staff physician and the Medical Director of the Pinedale Medical Clinic.
It is no accident that Dr. Quirk and his family have landed in Pinedale. An avid outdoorsman, Dr. Quirk’s first visit to Pinedale was in 1987 to climb in the Wind River Range. Dr. Quirk received his undergraduate degree from Colorado College, attended medical school at the University of Colorado – Denver. He completed his residency training at the University of Minnesota – Duluth.
Dr. Quirk is a Board Certified Family Physician and is able to offer a full spectrum of services from pre-natal to geriatric care. Having practiced in rural Montana for the past four years where his responsibilities included a clinical practice, in-house hospital coverage, long-term care coverage and Emergency Room call coverage, Dr. Quirk is very experienced with practicing in a rural setting and has a very strong background in trauma.
Dr. Quirk is a recipient of the prestigious 5-star Avatar Award recognizing him for his outstanding achievement in patient satisfaction. Additionally, Dr. Quirk was selected to sit on the Montana Performance Improvement Network (PIN) where he was part of a statewide network working to improve the delivery of health care to rural locations across the state. Dr. Quirk’s training and experience, including Chief of Staff, make him a tremendous asset and a perfect fit for our community.
Dr. Quirk and his wife, Dari, will be celebrating their fourteenth wedding anniversary this summer and have two children, McKenna (5) and Colton (4). Outdoor adventures are a big part of the Quirk family’s pastime, and they enjoy riding their horses, dog sledding, fishing and skiing. The Quirks consider it a real privilege to call Pinedale home and look forward to becoming part of the community and enjoying all that the area has to offer.
Dr. Quirk’s practice is open to all, and appointments can be made by calling the Pinedale Medical Clinic, (307) 367-4133.
