The Rural Health Care Board has begun the process of developing a budget for 2007-2008 and making decisions on how to spend our tax dollars. The first special meeting was 5/23 and was enlightening about the direction the board and this administration is headed. The biggest part of the proposal includes 5 additional MDs and 27 other new positions. There was much discussion about projected decreases in revenues and increases in expenses and unreliable data from receivables. Future special meetings about the budget will be announced so those who are interested can attend.
If you have concerns about Health Care, please contact the Rural Health Care District Board Members or Administrators with direct comments/concerns. The Board members are our elected representatives for quality health care in the County. They report to the public. Here is the contact information for Board Members and the Administrators:

Congratulations to Ken Shriver who was selected as the Board Member to fill the vacancy left by Jud Faler. Mr. Shriver attended the most recent meeting of the Health Care Coalition and graciously answered questions, listened to concerns, and made suggestions. Thank you for attending.
