BTNF welcomes 3 new District Rangers
Pinedale, Kemmerer and Buffalo Ranger Districts

(Western, Wyo) – Forest Supervisor Kniffy Hamilton has hired three District Rangers over the last several weeks to assist her in managing the 3.4 million acre Bridger-Teton National Forest. There were recently vacant Ranger positions in the Kemmerer, Pinedale and Buffalo Ranger Districts and the new Rangers will be arriving in the very near future.

John Hagengruber will be the new District Ranger on the Buffalo Ranger District located in Moran, Wyoming. Hagengruber formerly worked on the Bighorn National Forest in Wyoming as the Forest Recreation Planner and will report to the Bridger-Teton on June 25, 2007. Hagengruber worked as an Outdoor Recreation Planner for the Belt Creek and White Sulphur Springs Ranger Districts on the Lewis and Clark National Forest in Montana. Hagengruber also has experience as a Natural Resource Program and Planning Analyst with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources. Accompanying Hagengruber will be his wife Shari, their 6-year old son Adam, and 4-year old triplet daughters, Emily, Maddie and Sarah.

Tracy Hollingshead will fill the District Ranger position in Kemmerer, Wyoming. Hollingshead was the Sula District Ranger on the Bitterroot National Forest in Montana. Tracy has been the District Ranger on the Sula for a little over three years. Hollingshead also has experience as a Wildlife Biologist. She worked as a biologist on the Wasatch-Cache National Forest in Utah, and the White River Ranger District on the Mount Baker -Snoqualmie National Forest in Washington. Hollingshead will report to Kemmerer on June 25, 2007 with her husband, Mark.

Tom Peters has been selected to fill the vacant Pinedale District Ranger position. Peters is currently the District Ranger for the Comanche National Grassland on the Pike & San Isabel National Forests/Commanche & Cimarron National Grasslands in Colorado. Peters has been a District Ranger for 9-years and has worked as an Assistant District Ranger, and as a wildlife biologist. Peters will report to the Pinedale District on July 22, 2007.

Hamilton is also beginning the process of filling the Jackson District Ranger position, which will be vacant starting the first of July.
