Glimpse Lake Trail hike

Arnold Brokling took a hike up the Glimpse Lake trail on Sunday afternoon, July 29, and sent in these photos.
This trail is accessed from Spring Creek Park, located about 1 mile south of the upper end of Willow Lake. This trailhead gives access to the Glimpse Lake Trail, Pine Creek Canyon Trail and Snake Lake Trail.
The last four miles of road to the trailhead are rough and a high-clearance vehicle is strongly recommended. The trailhead has a large parking area and one corral for stock animals. This is a primitive trailhead access. There are no toilet facilities, no potable water and no adjacent campground.
To reach the trailhead from Pinedale, drive to the west side of town and turn north on Jackson Street. This street changes from a paved street road into a gravel county road. After several miles, Soda Lake will be to your right. Continue straight on the main road. Approximately 10 miles from Pinedale the National Forest boundary is reached. Immediately after the boundary, bear right at the junction and continue four miles to the trailhead.
