SCSO Release on Amber Alert incident
Suspect apprehended

4:15 PM Update: The Sublette County Sheriff’s Office issued the following news release on Tuesday, July 3rd:
On July 2, 2007, an incident involving a handgun occurred at the residence described as 1796 County Road 134, Sublette County, Wyoming. The incident was investigated by the Sublette County Sheriff’s Office and an Amber Alert was initiated. As a result of the investigation, a one Thomas Stanhope was apprehended and has been charged with two crimes: Aggravated Assault and Battery, and Possession of a Deadly Weapon with Unlawful Intent. Mr. Stanhope is presumed innocent until proven guilty. Mr. Stanhope has been apprehended and arrested. Formal charges have been filed for record with the Courts. The facts and circumstances leading to the filing of charges in this regard, as well as the surrounding matter, continue to be further investigated by the Sublette County Sheriff’s Office.
