WHP captures suspect wanted for attempted homicide
BOLO involved Sublette County

(Green River) Early Tuesday morning, July 24, an alert went out for law enforcement officials to be on the lookout for a suspect from Farson, Wyoming, wanted on a charge of attempted homicide by the Sweetwater County Sheriff’s Department in Green River, Wyoming. It was believed he could be traveling into the Sublette County area. The man was also thought to have several firearms in his possession.
Law enforcement agencies were asked to be on the lookout for a red GMC welding pickup being operated by Donny J. Pool, age 53, from Farson. They issued a BOLO alert (Be On The Lookout) for the vehicle and man around 7:30 AM this morning. Sublette County law enforcement units were notified to be on the lookout for the wanted vehicle.
Shortly before 8:00 AM, a Wyoming Highway Patrol trooper spotted the wanted vehicle southbound on WYO 372 approximately 13 miles north of Green River, approximately 100 miles south of Pinedale. The trooper followed the vehicle until units from the Green River Police Department arrived and assisted in making the vehicle stop approximately two miles north of Green River on WYO 372. Pool was taken into custody by troopers without further incident, ending the BOLO alert.
