Bruce Salzburg named WY Attorney General

Governor Freudenthal has appointed a Cheyenne attorney, Bruce Salzburg, to succeed Pat Crank as Wyoming Attorney General. Crank’s resignation will be effective on September 1.
Salzburg, a Democrat, is a long-time Cheyenne resident who has worked in private law practice for the past 24 years. He has served as counsel of record on significant cases involving state and local governments. He moved to Wyoming in 1977 and was admitted to the State Bar in 1978. His private law practice specializes in the defense of governmental and civil rights claims, personal injury and employment law.
Salzburg has tried cases and handled appeals before the Supreme Court of Wyoming and numerous District Courts in Wyoming, the Supreme Court of the United States, the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit, the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, the United States Court of Federal Claims, and the United States District Court for the District of Wyoming.
Salzburg and his wife, Phyllis, have two grown sons.
