The Museum of the Mountain Man is pleased and honored to have a special book signing and reception with James A. Baker III on Friday, August 17th in Pinedale. This event is a function open only to members of the Sublette County Historical Society, which is the parent organization of the Museum of the Mountain Man. Only 100 copies of the book are available to be signed at this event.

Mr. Baker will be present to sign copies of his book, “WORK HARD, STUDY… and KEEP OUT of POLITICS!” Hardcover copies of this limited edition, highly collectible volume will be available for purchase for $25.50 at the Museum. The 480-page book was published in October 2006.

Subsequently he became White House Chief of Staff (twice), Secretary of State, Secretary of the Treasury, campaign chairman or leader for three different candidates in five successive presidential campaigns, and most recently, co-chairman of the Iraq Study Group. In his book he tells the inside story of his long, unexpected journey from Houston, Texas to Washington D.C.

Membership in the Historical Society starts at $35 and gives free admission into the Museum of the Mountain Man, guest passes, 10% discount for items in the museum Gift Shop, and the museum’s bi-annual newsletter.
