(Jackson) - On Saturday, August 25, 2007 Teton Science Schools will hold its 30th Annual Fundraising Auction at the Jackson Campus of Teton Science Schools off of Highway 22. The event runs from 1:30 – 5:00 pm and admission is free. All community members are invited to attend, including children.
Items will be for sale in both live and silent auctions. The event will also feature a drawing for two amazing raffle experiences. There is truly something for everyone! There will be delicious food, cold drinks, live entertainment and fun activities for kids. Please leave dogs at home. Proceeds from the event support local school children, special programs with Jackson Hole public schools and youth groups from across Wyoming. The live auction will feature an extensive selection of exciting vacation getaways from around the world. Getaways include a luxury rail journey for two aboard the Grand Luxe Express, a week-long stay at a Tuscan villa in Italy, a Galapagos cruise for 11 days, a week-long stay at a luxurious home in Honolulu, Hawaii and a steeplechase weekend in Nashville, TN. The live auction will also feature favorite local experiences such as ski passes, fishing with accomplished guides, golf at award-winning area courses and unique private parties. A special auction item this year includes the opportunity to cut the ponytail of Journeys School Head of School, Nate McClennen live at the auction. Reserved table seating with munchies and margaritas for the live auction can be purchased in advance by calling 733.1327 ext. 1134. The silent auction will feature hundreds of gift certificates and items from favorite local business including restaurants, clothiers, outdoor gear, gifts, home furnishings and recreation and guiding companies. Essential services for your home, garden, car, pet, health, finances and kids will also be for sale. Spacious tents will be full of high quality furniture, home furnishings, and items just for kids and various forms of art.
